“Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of
our light.” ~Brene Brown
Finding the strength to seek counseling is an extremely vulnerable decision and it is important to
know that it is a step in the right direction. I strive to create comfortable and trusting
relationships with my clients. It can be difficult to open up about the hard stuff but just know;
you are not alone in this journey to healing.
As a counselor in training I greatly appreciate your interest in potentially working with me. I
have a background in Psychology and Anthropology and have a special interest in helping
people. I am currently working on a Master of Counseling and hopefully my licensure in the next
few years.
I like to call counseling, healing for the soul. It is not a quick fix thing and it will be challenging
at times. My goal is to create an environment that you look forward to coming to every session
and leave feeling better than you did before. I use both a Psychodynamic and Narrative approach
as well as incorporating techniques from other modalities into my counseling. My school
program encourages and teaches us how to counsel using multiculturalism and a culturally
competent approach with clients from all backgrounds.
Life is not easy and doing the work is hard, but we will do the work together.
