PSYCHOTHERAPY & Psycho-Education
Full Circle believes healing can happen in many ways for many different kinds of people. While traditional "talk therapy" may be helpful for some, others may prefer groups or other healing modalities such as EMDR (a proven treatment for trauma) or hypnosis.
An introduction to Mindfulness as a Psycho-therapeutic Tool
Mindfulness has become a frequently referenced term in holistic health circles as the research associated with its effectiveness has grown in both range of applicability and quality. In concordance with this, an array of different programs, techniques and applications have been developed to apply mindfulness techniques to the treatment of an ever increasing number of conditions. Given this proliferation, it can be helpful to sort through all of confusion and provide a framework for understanding the essence of mindfulness. This class will look at the core features of mindfulness, the ways it can be translated into healing and growth of various kinds. This is the first in a series of classes aimed at providing a solid understanding of mindfulness from a psychological and emotional perspective and how it can be used by each of us to foster growth and healing.
Cost: $25 per session, with a 20 % discount if paid up front. This class will consist of 5, 1 hour classes held over 5 weeks. Group time and day TBD depending on availability of participants.
