I became a therapist to foster connection within community, and I feel honored to hold space for people’s experiences. The foundation of my therapeutic style is the relationship we build in sessions. Deciding to seek out therapy is a brave and compassionate decision for yourself, and together we’ll explore what supports your healing. I see our time together as a long walk—one where we get to learn about you, how your brain works, what you’ve learned to cope with, and what we have the power to change.
I completed my graduate degree at Western Carolina University in 2016 and have since worked with a wide range of clients across different ages and backgrounds. As a queer, ADHD, body-positive person, I especially enjoy collaborating with other LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent individuals. I typically work with clients ages 16 and up, with a particular focus on young adults navigating the transition to adulthood and learning to challenge patterns that no longer serve them. I have significant experience supporting clients through trauma, anxiety, people-pleasing tendencies, and depression. As a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS), I also bring a nuanced understanding of substance use and its impact on individuals and families.
I draw from a variety of techniques and tools to support your journey –tailoring our work to what resonates with your unique brain and experience. I am trained in EMDR, a trauma-focused treatment that moves therapy from a primarily cognitive experience to a neurological one. I enjoy incorporating parts work, mindfulness, and somatic techniques as part of a holistic practice. I believe that humanness is important, and I bring humor and vulnerability into sessions when it feels appropriate.
When I’m not in sessions, I enjoy belly-laughs with friends and family, traveling when possible, finally reading the books my friends recommended, and exploring outside.
Please reach out for a phone consultation to determine if this feels like a good fit for you.
