I understand counseling to be an interactive environment that stimulates creative engagement with one’s life. I apply my expertise as a listener with clients in order to promote awareness, self-love, authenticity, and empowerment in relationships. The complexities of today’s society can be overwhelming, and my focus with clients is in co-creating a safe and healing space in which a person can heal and grow at their own pace. Through engaged listening, and evidence-based counseling practices, I help counterbalance the urgency and isolation of modern life and allow for new narratives to form.
I am grateful to also call myself an artist. My knowledge and experience with the power of creative processes informs my counseling style, allowing each therapeutic relationship to be a co-created and individualized exchange. My approach to counseling is similar to my art, with an emphasis on interactivity, dialog, and maximum subjectivity.
I work with different modalities such as guided imagery, Internal family systems, and expressive arts to access the unique values, narratives, and dynamics at play in someone’s life. I work with emergent adults and adults who are seeking support with excessive stress, grief, life transitions, interpersonal conflict, anxiety, depression, trauma, and problematic behavioral patterns. Anchored in both narrative and person-centered theory, my style of counseling encourages maximum authenticity, wholeness, safety, empowerment, and empathy. I am honored to be of service and support individuals as they attend to the challenging and important work of moving toward increased clarity, wholeness, resilience, hope, and empowerment.
