Throughout our unique and ever-changing lives, one of the most important and often overlooked needs for each of us is genuine connection with others. New technologies, the pandemic, and other societal changes in recent decades have left many of us disconnected and/or struggling with personal and interpersonal issues that we can’t solve on our own or even with those presently in our lives. With all of the capability and information that’s available at our fingertips in our devices, we can feel frustrated and overwhelmed as we struggle to find the meaning and sense of connection we need to improve our lives. I work with clients by building a genuine, caring, and mutually respectful relationship that fosters personal change and growth while building connection in our therapeutic relationship, in our social networks, and in our communities. I work with clients through challenges, pains, highs and lows, and through the mundane in life to help them experience the growth and change they desire in order to live their best lives.
I have experienced a number of different roles in my education and career journey, including higher education admissions counselor and academic advisor, Juris Doctor, elder law & estate planning specialist, legal recruiter, professional songwriter, and performing artist. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Minnesota, and my law degree (J.D.) from Willamette University in Oregon. Through my journey across the nation and across different occupations, I have developed a passion for working closely with individuals and helping others through challenging life issues and circumstances. I am passionate about the potential and capacity of individuals to make changes and flourish, and I am committed to providing clients with a respectful, safe, and encouraging place for genuine connection and personal growth. I enjoy new perspectives and getting to know others, and I would be honored to support you and your unique journey toward growth and change.
